Scottsdene in Cape Town is Calgro M3’s first integrated development project to be undertaken outside of Gauteng. The four year R554 million project was awarded by City of Cape Town in November 2010 and is set to be completed in 2017.
The project consists of 2 897 residential opportunities and is being developed on City of Cape Town owned land consisting of a number of land parcels. The project was a public tender to submit proposal calls (RFP) by the City of Cape Town. Calgro M3 was the preferred bidder and was awarded the project in 2010. The scope of works consists of a complete township establishment process, upgrading of bulk and link infrastructure, construction of roads, storm water, sewer, water and electrical infrastructure as well as the marketing and sales of a wide range of residential units including the construction of all of the mentioned top-structures.
The development will include the following urban amenities:
- Total number of units – 2 897 units
- BNG housing: 549 freestanding duplex units
- CRU/Social housing: 1 141 multi-storey units
- FLISP/GAP and rental housing: 997 multi-storey units
- Freestanding open market bonded units: 210 units
